Introduction
Bridging the Technology Divide (BTD) is one of the specialisation courses part of the one-year masters program 'Society, Science and Technology in Europe'. This master degree is given by a number of universities part of the 'European Inter-University Association of Society, Science and Technology' (ESST) network.
Universiteit Maastricht is part of the ESST association and hosts, among others, the above mentioned specialisation BTD at the Faculty of Culture and Arts.
This web page is designed first and foremost for students registered for the BTD specialisation. It serves as a source of information as well as a medium for communication. The page can also give more in-depth information about BTD, which might be useful for ESST students making their choice of specialisation for the second semester.
The second semester specialisation 'Bridging the Technology Divide' (BTD) focuses on the science and the technology development gap between developed and developing countries. Central in the study of this gap is the role of international cooperation.
